A 1961 Volkswagen Karmann cabriolet, faithfully restored to factory specs.

Original, and NOS (New Old Stock) parts used whenever possible. This is a professional, documented frame-off restoration, no expense spared. Top quality finish was done in the original VW color, L380 Turquoise.

Everything is authentic and was originally installed on this car in 1961, except whitewall tires and Haartz cloth top. Original chrome trim and glass rear window were also used on the top. All wooden pieces are new, and the top mechanism opens and closes as smoothly as the day it was made.

Stainless steel body and running board trim was used. Handles, bumpers, window frames, and other chrome items are originals, and have been triple plated.

Rare and unique items include optional hood springs, dealer installed fuel gauge, and large-button Bendix Sapphire 1 Radio. Chrome dash knobs are a vintage accessory item, which were originally installed on this vehicle.

1961 was the last year for the snowflake tail lights, color coded interior, and many of the classic Pre-1960's Beetle styling features.
Interior was painstakingly custom stitched to look like the day it rolled off the line. Door panels are original.

Original mileage before restoration was less than 79,000. This vehicle was relatively rust free prior to restoration; Even the floors are original.

There is no evidence of collision damage during this vehicle's lifetime. Engine rebuilt to factory specs, including New original parts, and rare early 40hp heater boxes. It runs smooth, quiet, and strong. Transaxle has also been rebuilt and shifts like new.
